(Joshua is taking this picture of us.)
Well, it is almost hard to believe how much our garden is growing!
We have come a long way...but not without help. Our Heavenly Father
has provided all that we need and He keeps providing. We had so many
plants to grow that we needed more space. Steve saw that we
needed more space, so he cleared out another area of the yard so we could
plant our sprouts into the ground. He needed to pull out a large, dead rose
bush and plenty of those large pokey dandylion weeds. Thank you, Steve for
all the work that you have done for our garden:)

(I think this soil might need some more water...LOL)
Last week, friends of ours bought some plants for her garden and
realized that she bought more than enough. So she asked if we wanted
them for our garden. Not knowing what I was accepting... I think we
got 10 tomato plants and 10 lettuce plants. I couldn't believe the
space they needed. When my friend brought us the plants, she even
stayed to help us plant them. Christina, our children and I worked together
to till up the soil and put the plants into the ground.
Thank you, Christina for all your hard work and love.

Joshua is always diligent to remember that the plants need
water.

Leah poses with her kitty by the tomatoes and bean plants.
We ran out of room...so we planted the beans in the flower pot.

Samuel is standing by our finished sprouts. He and Leah helped to
plant the sprouts in this section of the garden. Samuel just might be a
gardener! He told me today that "here are some weeds growing near
our plants and we need to get them out of there." I said that after
the rain comes and it dries out a bit, we can get in there and pull the
weeds:)

These are our cucumber plants. Leah says they are hers.

We already have tomatoes growing! We are so excited!
I am so excited to be growing these. They are one of my favorite
vegetables.
in the top left corner of the picture. We were warned that
corn does not grow so good, but the children wanted to try.
If the plants get too big, I will transplant them somewhere else.
Along the fence, (top-left) We have green beans that were given
to us from Christina, to the right of that are some "dwarf sunflowers".
Those don't seem to be doing as well, but we will watch them.
The next two rows coming down the picture are "snap peas" then the
next two are "cucumbers". I had a beautiful cabbage plant also in the
garden, but the first day after we planted everything, the dog got into
the garden and ate the plant. We had to rig the fencing so that it was
stronger to keep her out!
gave me this little angel to put in our garden. It is a constant
reminder that we have prayed for our garden and we have
given it to the Almighty.
He is the One who grows our plants and supplies all of our needs.
We love Him so much! He sent His Son as a perfect gift for us,
so that we can have fellowship with our Heavenly Father
and grow in His image.
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 5:8-9
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified
by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
Romans 8:1-4
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
These are some older pictures I
forgot to post sooner.
This was taken last week before the rain...just after we got
our tomato plants and lettuce into the ground.
Our friend, Christina, gave us about 10 tomato plants and
some lettuce and some green beans. We had so much that
we needed to dig out another area for the sprouts we were growing:)
Our sprouts were flourishing and needed to be planted into the ground!
