My photo
Each of our lives are tiny seeds that our Heavenly Father has planted. My prayer is that we seek to glorify Him as we grow in His likeness. I am a christian wife and a homeschooling mother of 4 beautiful children. I graduated from Ohio University with my degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English. My blogspot will be used to post some of our special moments from our family, share photos and to share some of the things I am learning through my experiences as a wife and mother. I love to write so occationally I may post some of my poetry or short stories I am working on. Thank you for visiting my blog. May you be blessed in Christ and His goodness always. - Tina

Story Poem

John 8:12 "When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said,"I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.""

This is a poem that I wrote last year for a child evangelism class

Like You

A child walks up to his teacher and asks,
"How can I be like you?"
The teacher smiles with joy as she laughs,
"Are you ready to be like new?"
She pulls out a picture of a ball
with holes and dark shadows too."
The surface of the moon is not pretty at all
and looks so gloom and subdue"
"Now look at from the earth through a deep dark sky
to get a different kind of view
The moon is glowing, and do you know why?
It's like what I am to you."
"The glow is a reflection that comes from the sun
With it the moon looks new
Just as Christ is the light shining in me, He is the one
And He can be that for you."
"So be like the moon as you submit to His will
And let Him shine through you.
Look to our Saviour as the source of your light and be amazed
At the work He'll do in you."

It actually was something that I added to the assignment that PK gave the class and we just had to turn it in. I don't think anyone else saw it. I don't remember what exactly I got on the assignment...probably a check mark or a "good" :)
