A CUP OF TEA SURPRISE!
I have missed my family so much! What a joyous occasion! Completely unexpected my family shows up, out of the blue. I knew they were traveling, but I had no clue when and if I would see them. I praise the Lord for His Loving-kindness! Bringing my family here is such a blessing.
The day before...
The day before my family arrived, my husband and I planned on having chili for supper. So on Tuesday, I put together a crock pot of chili so that I wouldn't have to do that and school work the next day. Overnight the ingredients stewed in the crock filling the house with the aroma of chili powder and peppers in my fathers canned tomatoes. I remember thinking how nice it will be with the crackers Steve would pick up on his way home from work the next day. Little did I know that the Lord had a surprise in store for me. The next morning I was planning on a friend to visit and at the last minute I invited her to stay for lunch. As we were chatting, I received a phone call...my sister in law was in town and wondered if they could stop over for tea.
Excited and amazed, they were going to be in my home within a half hour!
It had been 2 years since I've seen them. And I was so happy to know they were coming.
That evening my chili became the topping of Mary's bake potatoes and we enjoyed a great evening together just talking and catching up. A cup of tea has never been so special.
Jessica (16) has grown so much! She is such a beautiful young lady.
Joy's smile just lights up a room.
It is always a pleasure to see the Lord working in her life.
I just love Morielle.
The Lord has given her such a loving heart and a joyful smile!
Faith has the most beautiful colors in her hair.
She was such a wonderful help as she played with the children.
Olivia and Emily have such loving, mothering hearts at such a young age.
Leah let Emily carry her around almost the entire time they were visiting.
Emily treated Leah like she was her own daughter.
Benjamin and Samuel, both 6 years old, are only 2 weeks apart.
They get along so well together.
It was so nice seeing them enjoy each other's company.
Benjamin and Paul
Sophia Grace is a year older than Leah.
She found an enormous worm in my yard and shared it with everyone.
There wasn't a single bite left over.
Jonathon is about a year younger than Leah.
He is getting so big and so fast.
This is the first time I got to meet Ellianna Michaela ( not sure if I spelled that right).
I saw her baby pictures just after she was born. I can't believe it has been a year already.
Joy, Jessica, Morielle and Mary honoured my request for a song.
They sang "The Sound of Music " in 3 part harmony. I got goose bumps (as usual). The Lord has given the family such beautiful voices.
I look forward to some more time with them before they start traveling again.
