Apples In A Seed - Tomaselli Family Blog

My photo
Each of our lives are tiny seeds that our Heavenly Father has planted. My prayer is that we seek to glorify Him as we grow in His likeness. I am a christian wife and a homeschooling mother of 4 beautiful children. I graduated from Ohio University with my degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English. My blogspot will be used to post some of our special moments from our family, share photos and to share some of the things I am learning through my experiences as a wife and mother. I love to write so occationally I may post some of my poetry or short stories I am working on. Thank you for visiting my blog. May you be blessed in Christ and His goodness always. - Tina

A Week of Grace Bible Day Camp

The Jungle Jaguars Vs. The Congo Crocodiles

Grace Bible Day Camp

-The Amazon

This week the Tomaselli Family is attending GBDC (Grace Bible Day Camp) It has been a fun filled week and plenty to do. There have been many trials...but through the Lord we have been persevering. Paul was struck with Hand Foot and Mouth disease to start out the week. But satan could not hold us back. He only had an extemely mild case and is doing fine as we quarantine him from the healthy children at church. He has two other friends who have the same thing and they all have been doing just fine. I created this jaguar picture along with the crocodile with an overhead projector. Thanks to my friend who provided the oil pastel crayons, it took me about 1-2 hours total to complete each one. It isn't easy to find the time to do things like this but it made the decorations in our art classroom complete.

The children learned Bible verses and some great Bible truths. They had a different concept each day to focus on:

  • Creation. God Made All

  • Corruption. The Fall of All

  • Confusion. The Tower of Babel

  • Christ. Jesus Came

  • Cross. Jesus died on the cross in our place

  • Consummation. Eternity in Heaven with God

Joshua shows us his picture frame he made in art.
And Samuel gets help from his counselor as he works on one of his projects.

Joshua was on the Jungle Jaguar Team and Samuel was a Congo Crocodile. Our GBDC program was created by the makers of The Creation Museum in Dayton,Ohio.

The children would have theme related snacks every day.

Just for fun, we got temporary tatoos of differnt animals from the amazon. I liked the butterfly.

But for two days, people would warn me, "Don't move too quickly. You've got something on your face.
