My photo
Each of our lives are tiny seeds that our Heavenly Father has planted. My prayer is that we seek to glorify Him as we grow in His likeness. I am a christian wife and a homeschooling mother of 4 beautiful children. I graduated from Ohio University with my degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English. My blogspot will be used to post some of our special moments from our family, share photos and to share some of the things I am learning through my experiences as a wife and mother. I love to write so occationally I may post some of my poetry or short stories I am working on. Thank you for visiting my blog. May you be blessed in Christ and His goodness always. - Tina

ROSEBUD!!!!

"Beware of the Dog"... Our one year old beagle has been a handful! She must be the healthiest dog around. She eats everything! But I think her favorite foods are vegetables!

We have beautiful golden tomatoes that grow in our garden. One day I found one in the driveway and was wondering how it got there. I had a suspicion that it could be the dog, but I knew that the fence was a pretty good one to keep her out. Would you believe she found her way into the tomatoes? I found the hole.

I have a theory that our Heavenly Father is trying to teach us all something from our garden project. Interestingly enough...We prayed for the Lord to provide all of the things we needed to make our garden prosperous and so He would be glorified in the process. We even waited to get the fencing for Him to decide how big He wanted the garden to be. We went to a garden class and we purchased some seeds for the children to practice sprouting. Those seeds and a couple of hand shovels for the children were the only things that I purchased. Later, Steve purchased some plastic fencing to make a second garden for the sprouts we started. We were given the lettuce and tomatoe plants which you see growing along the house. It has been so nice to watch them grow so big and strong. We even gave away some of the "first fruits" to friends.
Well....the seeds we sprouted did pretty well as you could see in the other entries.
Well check out what happened!

Our poor sprouts!!! The seeds that we purchased were ravaged by the dog. She climbs in there whenever she feels like it. The mutt! All of our hard work...gone to the dog.

Anyway...I believe that one of the lessons we were to learn is that when we take things into our own hands the outcome isn't as great as they could be if we just let the Almighty do it. He wants to be the one we turn to for everything. And when we turn to Him...He gets all the glory.
Amen.
