Samuel Joseph

Happy Birthday, Samuel!!!

This is my Samuel Joseph ! He just turned 7 years old today.
He is getting to be such a big boy. Samuel was named after a great prophet in the Scriptures.
His middle name came from another great man in Scripture.
I believe Samuel means "The Almighty's Word" and Joseph means "His Word will increase".
So Samuel Joseph means "The Almighty's Word will Increases". I believe that The Almighty has
some wonderful things planned for Samuel and His service.

He loves the solar system that the Almighty created.
He has models of the planets all over his room.
When he draws, you can be sure the arrangement of the planets will be there somewhere.

He loved going to Niagra Falls.

And through this year of his life, he would still fall asleep during afternoon car trips.

He can be such a goofy boy with the funny faces he makes.

But The Almighty made him so handsome!

He enjoys playing with his cousins and wants to see them again soon!!

Samuel is a big help around the house. He takes care of the dog. He gets breakfast for his little brother and sister. He does dishes and brings in the trash cans.

He works hard at his school work...even though he is easily distracted.
He is very smart. He is working on 2ND grade work with his big brother.
His favorite subjects are math and science. He also likes to draw and create games to play.
He loves bowling. He even has his own bowling set at home. He practices various ways to set up the pins to make it more challenging.

He had lots of fun at Grace Bible Day Camp this year. He was on the Congo Croc Team.

Yes...we love our Samuel Joseph! He has been a wonderful blessing in our lives!
Thank you Heavenly Father for lending him to us.

He is such a blessing to us!

Samuel Joseph was born on March 11, 2003. The evening he came into the world, I was sleeping in Joshua' s bed, because it was the closest to the bathroom and I was having difficulty walking and doing stairs. The evening he was born, I was uncomfortable sleeping. I was tossing and turning like a pancake in bed. Then when I felt labor pains we went to the hospital. When the doctor gave me an epidural, they hooked me up to a monitor to see how Samuel was doing. His heart rate kept dropping and they would flip me in the bed and his heart rate would return to normal. Later I realized that when I was flipping in bed earlier, the Almighty was protecting my son. Absolutely Amazing. Anyway, we were going to try VBAC and it was not possible at this point because of Samuel being in distress. So they took Samuel by C-Section. When I saw him...he was born with a full head of black hair. When they cleaned him up and brought him to me after my recovery from surgery...He was so beautiful. His hair was so thick and black and standing up. I remember it looked like he just put his finger in a socket.

Thank you, Heavenly Father for this wonderful blessing in my life.
