Apples In A Seed - Tomaselli Family Blog

My photo
Each of our lives are tiny seeds that our Heavenly Father has planted. My prayer is that we seek to glorify Him as we grow in His likeness. I am a christian wife and a homeschooling mother of 4 beautiful children. I graduated from Ohio University with my degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English. My blogspot will be used to post some of our special moments from our family, share photos and to share some of the things I am learning through my experiences as a wife and mother. I love to write so occationally I may post some of my poetry or short stories I am working on. Thank you for visiting my blog. May you be blessed in Christ and His goodness always. - Tina

Birthday Girl

Leah Gabrielle Tomaselli.
Her name means: "Weary, The Lord Is My Strength"
I may be weary, but but the Lord is my strength.
Leah turned 4 years old on February 14th. Leah had a day out with daddy. She went to the store and picked out a gift. Then daddy took her to get her picture taken at Walmart.

She is such a silly girl. She did her own hair that day and getting her picture taken was a surprize.

My little angel is getting to be such a big girl. She is memorizing Bible verses in her Kids4Truth class. All the teachers love her. They say she has such a bright smile all the time and is so happy.

The day Leah was born. I went into labor while Steve was at work. I started to feel contractions and was debating whether or not it was real labor. I was on the phone with Auntie Christina when we both decided it was time to send for Steve. As I was hanging up the phone the contractions started getting even more intense. I called Steve immediately. He rushed home as I told Joshua and Samuel to start getting their shoes on and coats. Steve was home within 20 minutes and we dropped the boys off at Aunt Christina and Uncle Jon's house. We were on our way to Hillcrest Hospital. When we were there, the nurses were prepping me for surgery, because the doctor wouldn't allow me to have her naturally, but allowed me to go into labor at least. When I recieved the epidural, on top of being in the most uncomfortable possition, they missed! They hit a nerve and an electric shock went through my entire body. I couldn't help but scream out loud. Then they did it again! Finally, the epidural was in and I was on the table ready for surgery.
I was able to hold my beautiful girl in my arms once I returned from recovery. I couldn't believe how beautiful the Lord made her.

Thank You, Heavenly Father for the gift of Leah. She was an answer to prayer. You have blessed our lives so much with her.
